Dog n' Kitty Cake

8" White with Fresh Strawberry filling. 6" chocolate. Simple Vanilla Syrup and crumbcoaed in buttercream. I owe inspiration to Andrea's SweetCakes . Her cakes are just stunning!!!! I could look at her cakes all day. Oh wait, I do!! :)

I'M MELTING!!

Often, you will hear me suggest that you just shouldn’t use buttercream in hot weather…this is why!   The lovely Bronwen Weber of Frosted Art Bakery in Dallas, TX has created a cute video explaining this very problem…
So, if you don’t want your cake to melt, please, PLEASE, pretty please…use fondant and DON’T have your cake outside in these conditions (your guests will probably thank you too!). :)  After all, you’ve paid all that money for me to spend all that time making and decorating your pretty cake…your guests should be able to enjoy it too! This is something to think about for you next years brides..... I have had this happen to a cake and WILL NOT do it again!!! Unfortunately we learn form our mistakes!

Jungle Baby Shower Cake

Girl shower cake for my cousin's friend. 10" and 6". I made this several months ago and forgot to take pictures of it! oops! Thankfully my cousin was there. ;) I don't remember the flavor of the cake tho.

Elegant Piano Cake

I did this cake several months ago and somehow all the pictures I took of it were deleted from my camera! This is the only one I have, but you can still get the look of the cake. Bottom is a 3" double stacked cake 8" middle and top are 6" and 4" one layer. Red velvet with Cream cheese icing. Serves around 50.

Country Wedding Cake

 This cake was for my sister's wedding Sept. 10th. The wedding was also held at my house! So far, the biggest wedding cake I have done, and I love the way it turned out!!! It took 3 of us to carry it out to the tent. :) All tiers are 3" deep pans, torted and filled.
Bottom 12" is Spice-Rum with Maple filling and Pear filling
10" is Butter Pecan
8" is Chocolate
6" is Marble (for the bride and groom)
I also made 1/4 sheet cakes: French Vanilla with Fresh strawberry filling and Chocolate with Mocha filling. LoVe LoVe this one!!!!

Ice Cream Social

This cake was made to match the birthday invitation. It was probably the cutest one I've ever seen!! 10" Banana with german Chocolate filling and 6" Strawberry Supreme with Cream Cheese filling. Yum!

Giant Cupcake Cake

This was my very first Giant cupcake cake! It was so much fun to make and I can't wait to make another one!! The bottom is a 8" chocolate and the cupcake is yellow. 




A friend wanted to come over and learn some things, and also get credit for school! She was a huge help; making the lollipop, sucker, and rolling fondant! P.S. Please ignore my messy kitchen! It's always a disaster as I'm not very good at cleaning as I go. ;o)
